Born at Hinsdale, Mass., June 26, 1814, son of Thomas Allen. After graduation from Williams College, Sept. 12, 1833, studied law in the office of John G. Atterbury and admitted to practice in 1838. Practiced in Green Bay, Wisc., 1838-1842, returned to Detroit. Died at his home on Alfred St., March 21, 1894.
